1) A directory of the contents of each disk should be provided.
2) Laser or other hard copy of the latest version should be provided for each file to be output (@100% if possible).
3) All linked files should be provided as well as all necessary fonts (remember to include fonts used in linked graphics). We request that you do not send your entire font library with jobs. Fonts should be placed loosely into one folder. Do not use sub-folders.
4) We encourage the use of programs like FlightCheck to assemble your jobs for downloading, because of their ability to thoroughly handle these issues. Fonts still account for more than 75 percent of our preflight problems.
5) Please Do not suppress printout on picture or text boxes.
6) Avoid rotating images in layout program. (use Photoshop or Illustrator for rotation).
7) If using spot colors, make sure they are named the same in all applications.
8) All images should be CMYK as TIFF or EPS, RGB and GIF formats should be avoided. LZW and JPEG compression should not be used (RIP’s normally will not handle these).
9) Recommended resolution for raster images is 300 to 350dpi.
10). Avoid scaling raster images over 200% if possible. |
